Reindeer Rugs
The thick reindeer pelts of Scandinavia are a beautiful addition to any home as a floor, bed, chair or wall covering. Their silvery grey tones mixed with shades of tans and browns work well with just about any interior. They can be stitched together to make larger, exquisite rugs. Reindeer fur is made up of hollow hairs providing wonderful thermal insulation making these rugs an ideal choice beside a bed. Reindeer Rugs are more of a decorative item. It is not recommended that the rugs are placed in areas with high temperatures or that have heavy traffic, as this will make the hair more brittle and prone to snapping. As with all deep pile products some shedding should be expected from these skins.
