Abaca Rugs

Abaca fibre, from the Abaca plant is indigenous to the Phillippines and is considered the strongest of all natural fibre. Because of the nature of of Abaca it is important to consider the setting and use of your rug. Our weaves are designed to present the strong style of the fibre and the skill of the hand work, and therefore may not be suited somewhere where furniture will be moved around a lot. As with natural plant fibres, there will be slight variations in your Abaca rug, like colour and thickness.
